August 12 Some Videos ;) Hey, here are some boring videos I've found in my picture archive 1. Taroko National Park - Suspension Bridge this Bridge is at the 5th trail in Taroko National Park and it rocks so nice when you cross the bridge :D, maybe not the best for sensitive people ;) 2. Cave Waterfall - Taroko National Park this is a nice cave at the end of the 5th trail, the water is extrem cold - so I would suggest an umbrella :), unfortunately I forgot to take my umbrella.. so I was a bit wet at the end, but the hot sun dries you in a min :) 3. Long Dark Tunnel - Taroko National Park this was one of the longest tunnels and it is really as dark as in the videos, there is a balustrade - without it would be impossible without flashlights - even with all the bats :P 4. Foggiest night in my life We drove up to a mountain during the night and it was sooo foggy. We could really hardly see the marks on the streets, I was really scary a bit :D August 10 Olympics... yeah the olympic games started.. unfortunately its not easy to watch it, cause I have no TV and the live streams are country restricted.. but RTÉ has a very good offer, they show it 24 hours on 4 channels without commentary.. thats great. I like to watch swimming.. I don't know why... Liesel remember Atlanta? We watched every day ;). Now I can watch at work ha ha. July 23 In Bruges hmm..who said it's a comedy? It's actually a very silent movie and totally the opposite of a comedy. Definitly worth to watch it, the soundtrack is amazing as well. Just a small update that shows that the weather is not that bad in the moment ;) ![]() July 19 ahhh...I have a pain in my neck and cannot move my head and than the headaches.. damn. .I guess I jammed a nerve or whatever. July 13 Apple, Ireland, Bad Weather.... Well, I thought I write a new entry. Nothing happened really... there is a new iPhone and a lot of trouble at work because of this, but my overtime is approved for the next weeks.. ha thats good The weather was quiet good this morning, a bit too cold but sunny and dry. ![]() Actually thats all, in the moment it is really boring. But my mom's coming in 4 weeks, hopefully I have not to work on that weekend, so we can rent a car and visit the green island from natures site. As I wrote a few times, Ireland is surely a beautiful country but the cities are awful. I could not live here forever (and I don't). Certainly I look forward to full Irish breakfast and mountains and cliffs and sheeps By the way, I rented "Two Days in Paris". Watch it, it is sooo funny! Here the trailer: July 06 Agile Messenger for iPhone! I cannot believe it!!! The best mobile chat application is now available for iPhone with all features known from the Windows Mobile version!!
Screenshot from Agile Mobile Website July 03 what the hell...rain rain rain and it is cold as well! I hate Ireland in sommer, I mean in winter its nice 10 degrees but not in July!!!! Do something! June 21 Interesting ;)Maybe some day I'll find out what this text is about ;). Zitat something "stupid" June 16 Germany won against the oesies (austrians), thats nice but actually I don't care :D. I don't like sports so much..I think it's boring haha but I like to enjoy a cold pint of Corrs Light (yeah I have to stay slim, well I'm not slim but.. ok anyway) with my friends. Thats the reason why I'll go to watch France-Italy tomorrow in the Old Oak. Thats a nice pub and its terrible full, I love full pubs! Ok, thats all I have to say for today, I'm tired and I want to dream a about something special (Mickey knows Ok guys, have a good night! June 13 ah i don't know ...one week is over. Work is boring.. so I decided to apply for a new job position within the company, the position is more relaxed (yes! more relaxed! Anyway I'm doing overtime on Sunday, this means at least to watch 2 movies Tomorrow I will go swimming, it's not cheap but it's the best method to activate every muscle haha, I learnt that from the Sopranos :D. June 11 Some nice pics :) Well I'm back at work ![]() June 07 That was Taiwan! The best time in my life! At least the best trip in my life! I met all my friends and I was not disappointed, I had so much fun and made so many new experiences, "I will miss you Taiwan"! I depart in 20 minutes to Bangkok and than straight to Amsterdam, I will be back at 10am in Cork... I guess I watch a movie or something at home :P. I will upload all the pictures asap. Anyway.. I'm a bit sad.. thats the first time that I really don't want to go home! Don't forget to read this very nice article from my friends: http://www.wretch.cc/blog/HJHY/10231800 谢谢台湾! 谢谢慧儒! 谢谢欣宜! 谢谢世斌! 谢谢惠雯! 謝謝所有人,包括我尚未提及的 June 03 hola.. my trip is almost to end..:( Well as you can see, I'm very busy so I had no time to write something in the last days. Anyway here are the news: After the national park "Taroko", I left Hualien and stopped on the way back to Taipei in Yi-Lan. This is a very small town but famous for its "Hot Spring". This are thermal spas and available in every Hotel in the town (and there are a lot of Hotels). I took the first one, right to the train station ![]() Well, on Friday I took the first bus to Puli (thats in the middle of Taiwan) to visit my very best Friends "Touchie" and "Chincha" What else did we? On Saturday Morning, we went to ChiChi Farm .. or something like that (I apologize, I can't remember the name), and watched a Sheep-Show.. very funny :D. Next Stop was the 2 hours far away Town called "Taichung", where HYs bf waited for us. Later we took the train to Kaohsiung, the second biggest city in Taiwan. Here we visited the night marked and HYs family. They are very friendly and kind people and they offered me a bed in their house, thank you again!. On Sunday morning, the ISLAND day :D. We went to Liuchiu, this Island is only 30 minutes from Kaohisung and Taiwan Island away. Here we rented scooters, and this was the first time I had my own scooter! Wow amazing, I want a scooter in Ireland! :D. The Island is very nice and has beautiful spots, at some points you feel like in the Caribbean. The host of our hotel guided as for a ocean hiking tour, some sea animals are not cute :D. Here got Hui-Jou her nickname "Touchie". She touched everything ....to be continued.. cause I'm busy :D May 27 Taroko National ParkToday I woke up at 5:30pm and went with the bus the Taroko National Park. It's an absolute amazing park, surrounded from high mountains. There is a highway in the middle and every 5 kilometers or so are very interesting trails to walk. Sometimes more than 10km long. They were build by the Japanese during the Japanese occupation in early 1900. Every trail is different, I began with the 5th of the 8 trails. This trail was almost 3km long and I had to pass high cliffs, suspension bridges and many tunnels without lights but with BATS. This was a bit scary. After that I went the highway back to the park entrance (around 18km) and I stopped at every trail (4 - 1). There were hidden temples in grottos, unbelievable animals and plants and the biggest insects I ever saw in my live! Almost every second car wanted to pick me up, cause I said, I walk... hehe but at the end, 400m from the entrance I said YES and this nice Taiwanese family took me the entire way back to Hualien and gave me tea and cookies as present FOR FREE! Very nice. You can see all this on the pictures, I will upload soon. Tomorrow I will go back to Taipei with a stop in Yi-Lan and will take a bath in one of these famous Hot Spring Spas. :D Have good night kids! May 25 I'm still alive!OK OK, long time no entry but I was busy hehe. What happend? The following:
I went to Hsinchu on Thursday, its a big city on the west coast of Taiwan, its not so nice cause it seems to be a big constraction site. After checking out the local attractions, I decided to take a bus to Beipu. On the way to this small town in the forests, I met a taiwanese boy, he was maybe 16 or so, he shows me always which bus I have to take, cause I had to change the bus three times. Fortunately he lived in Beipu, perfect! There was just one problem, he couldn't speak english and I can't speak chinese very well. So we communictaed via me chinese phrasebook and his english school book. It was very funny, almost like in "Lost in Translation" :D
In Beipu I was the only tourist, so it was very quiet and the forrest was amazing. You just hear the birds and the water ... I think thats the feeling people have in the rainforest. Anyway I went back from the forrest and was looking for a nice bowl of noodles :). I met a restaurant boss.. he was very nice and told me his story and I got a meal for free! Great :P.
On Friday I went a bit shopping Taipei and met Katie in the afternoon and went with her to her city "Keelung". We had a very nice weekend!
So, today I got my new glasses, the are perfect and tomorrow I will go to Hualien, Taiwans most beautiful city in the east until Friday and than I will meet HJ and HY :D AH I forgot: I watched the new Indy on Thursday! I was disappointed, ok it was nice to see old faces but the story was crap. A-Bombs, Aliens and a "everything will be destroyed before we know what happened" story a la George Lucas. Oh man, very sad, this is not the Indy 4 for the DVD collection!
